Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed."

We made it!!!!!
We got to go to church and we were all in one piece! We all had wet hair but we were dressed! :)
Aww... Mornings....

OK, so have you ever noticed that Sunday mornings often fall apart?? Ug! I think some times the Devil doesn't want you to go to church with a clear mind, so he pulls out the big guns!!! Last night, we had an awful night. Up and down! Joey just was either talking in his sleep... so we thought he was up OR he was UP! So, we had a busy night. This morning, we couldn't get moving so thanks to Aunt Christi offering to stop by... I'm fresh and clean! I had a moment to myself with a quiet shower instead of two kids in the bathroom screaming, you done yet??? Now she is gone to take Angel food orders and I have to give the rug rats a bath! Who wants to guess whether we will be on time to church?? Ha! Well, I guess it would help if I were not sitting here blogging to let you in on our chaos! Looking forward to being there!

Medical Miracle...

If you have ever been to my house, you know this lovely bottle very well! This is our Thickening agent we use for every form of liquid that Joey takes in. While in Cincinnati at our last appointment, Dr. Borrow says "So, what happens if I hand him a glass of water with out this stuff in it?" In the past, we said "he chokes and it goes in his lungs." But today, we say "nothing, he drinks it!" The last two days, Joey has been thickener free! Usually he chokes, gurgles, gets it in his lungs or causes him to vomit... the last two days... clear as a bell! No signs what so ever of aspiration!!! yeah Joey!!!! Just thought I'd share! :) God is doing this before our eyes! One step at a time and ONE day at a time... we see more and more to say that God holds our two little angels in his hands ever so tightly!!!
DANGER!!!!
OK, don't try fad diets on a crash course... I thought I needed pain killers for my head yesterday... WOW!!! Jeff had to give me Juice and a PB&J just to get my rear out of the chair! ha! Poor guy! I am back to my usual self now and we had a busy day! On the agenda today, we did a bed room swap! Yep! Sure did! Joey is now in our nice spacious room and we have taken over his tiny little room! Then off to good will to drop a load and pick up a few things as well. Hit up Wal-mart and got some groceries... drove home... finished up Abby's room creating another good will run for another day! Then out to play for a few before it got to dark and off to bed! Whew! I'm tired! We are going to try to make it to church in the morning! I'm excited. I really do miss coming and I often feel very very shut in here at home. Watching via the Internet just is NOT the same! I'm praying Cincinnati will get enough answers that our shut in time will be less and less! I'm beginning to already enjoy some of our freedom! Hope to see some of you there!

Shelter in the storm...

Some times, we find ourselves traveling down the roads of life... you feel the wind pick up, you see the clouds begin to stir and you hit this huge storm. I hit my storm last night. I have wavered in the winds of the storm today. Life has thrown some interesting curves at us right now with new medical decisions, AGAIN, we'll soon to be waiting on answers to tests, trying new treatments, and much like Peter did when he stepped out on the water on that stormy see the night Jesus walked on the water, I'm looking at the waves around my feet and the clouds spinning above. It is so easy to get distracted. Too easy to get distracted. It is amazing how big life is and how small we are... yet God is there in the midst of us... I took the kids for a walk in the strollers tonight and then sat on the back patio while they played in the sand and I just tried to focus on God's face. I remembered the Scripture in Isaiah that said He is our shelter in the midst of the storm... I take great comfort in knowing even when I let the hurts of life and the frustrations get the best of me... He still remains there! He doesn't let the waves crash over us, or the wind to knock us down... Thank God for peace in the storms! This too shall pass and we will see exactly what God did when we get to the other side!
