Success!!!

WEll, we had our first day of school. Joey and Abby thought before starting they'd have a party in their box!
Do we both fit? Hmm... this could be science! Ha!
He we are, settled down at the table starting our day.
Umm, Joey thought it would be more fun to climb into the crayon box rather than color!
Miss Abby's school bus! She colored it herself! She even wrote her name at the top!
Our Rainbow art! We learned the colors in the rainbow and made fluffy clouds!

Learning to write i and I She did AWESOME!! I was so impressed. I never had to do hand over hand... just show her how.
Joey doing some more coloring (we are just working with colors... after all, he just turned two!)
Counting our felt items.
labeling our counted items with 1,2 or 3 on the felt board.
Yeah! It's colorful balloons! it's purple or as Joey says, PU PU Ha! It was a great first day!

It begins!!!!

Well, the Pfohl family school bell is ringing! We were supposed to start Monday, but the week has been crazy! With Abby's scare and a thousand things going on... we are beginning school today! I am starting now because there are often days that Abby is too tired to do anything or we have medical emergencies or too many appointments in one day! So, here begins your time to pray! :) I need lots of grace as I walk into this new adventure in my life! I'm a nervous wreck and do not feel equal to the task! but, I'm going to be obedient to what God is asking of me because I know this is the path my kids need to have a healthy and full life. I am starting Joey on some small activities to try to help catch him up on things that he's missed out on because of hospital stays and lack of speech. So, Here's to having a good first day at the pfohl family school!

So much for naps...

Well, I started working today and threw the nap to the wind! Ok, so reality is, I don't get a nap regardless because my kids don't nap at the same time! Ha! So, I decided to throw myself into it... dishes scrubbed, laundry almost caught up, and now I'm working on cleaning up bed rooms... aaahhh... does it ever end?? Alright, back to it! thought I'd take a break to say... we are almost there!!! yeah!!! Abby is still doing good and Joey is his usual STINKER today! yeah!

petechiae

Well, the mystery rash has a name now! It is called Petechiae Anyways, in our case, blood work is fine, her behavior is normal Abby, so we are saying "who knows". It's a mystery! We are home and we are all VERY tired. So, we are trying to catch up on life and catch up on rest... neither are gong well! Ha! Oh well! hope all have a great day! Thanks for the prayers! We so much appreciate it!

The mysterious rash!!!!

Well, I don't know how well you can see it... but here is what is giving us a scare... They say that the ends of her blood vessels are popping causing it to appear as a rash... odd! I don't like it one bit! She is starting to make me nervous! We are seeing the start of one of the "pack up and go" signs but praying hard it stops and doesn't turn into it at full scale! oh the fun of doctoring! Hope all have a great evening! We see the ped at 815 a.m. tomorrow. Night all!

update on infection...

As of right now, blood counts are normal and we are waiting and watching. Thank you for the prayers. We see the ped in the morning again asap as long as every thing continues to go well.

Possible infection...

We are asking you to pray for Abby right now. I was taking her to OT today at Rehab and just as we were leaving, I noticed a rash beginning around her mouth. It was very unusual looking so I called the doctor. After taking her in, they are VERY concerned that Abby has some form of an infection that is about to show up in her blood stream. Apparently these rashes show up just before the infection. Blood tests are out right now and if white blood cell counts are even slightly up, they will admit her asap for IV antibiotics and have to treat her VERY agressively! What a day for us to be talking about prayer! Thank you for your prayers! Mine feel weak at the moment but they are not ceasing! Thanks!
