In our growth group (Home Bible study), we have been going through experiencing God. My life has been Reconvicted over and over by this study. I posted the other day about how I want God to work through my life powerfully... This book is talking a lot about how to get to that pooint that God can work in your life. Many times we get caught up in our traditions, religions, beliefs, practices etc... we totally get to a point where that is all we think about. It's what we live and breathe and the one thing left undone is our relationship with God.
This week, ONe of the points in the study is in order to know what God is revealing, you must first believe God is who he says he is. He is the great I am. He is our provider. When we get stuck in the traditions or beleifs of practice, we loose sight of that. We become stail and that's the most important part an element of being intimate with God. KNOWING and Believing He is who He says He is. Do we trust him??? Are we willing to step out on a limb and know that He is there with us through it all if it is what He's asking of us... do We Believe He is our Great I am?
The next point... adjusting your life. We can say we believe. We can say that we are Christians, but is the fruit there? Are we changing our behaviors? Are we changing the way we walk out our traditions or beliefs? Does Our life show that we believe Him and trust Him?
3rd... Obey Him... If we believe in Him, if we have adjusted our lives to Him, then it is time to move! Step out... talk to people, look for opportunities that God is working and follow His lead.
Last... Do we Know Him? If we do all the things listed above... we will come to know him in such a powerful way. There won't be any question about it. We will chase after Him and be passionately in love with our God...
