Daily learning...

I find myself daily learning as to what God desires of our lives. I read Jeff's blog today (a must read) concerning envy. I sometimes envy other people's lives. I envy others who have healthy children, I envy those who get to work side by side with their spouces, I envy those that just simply get to go out and have fun at the drop of a hat... but today, I realize that envy is meaningless. I have more than I could ever ask for. The health of my children, they are here and they are with me. They don't have to be perfect. I praise God that I can hold them, I can comfort them. Tonight, I was crying and Abby kept wiping my tears saying "mommy, top cying" (spelled as spoken). I couldn't ask for more in a daughter. Then, Joey (7 mths old) sat quiet to listen to the bed time story from Abby's Bible story book. At prayer time, Abby and Joey held each others hands... they may not be the healthiest, but they are happy, they love each other and they love God! Then I step back and I look at my husband. I might not be able to be with him and minister with him at this time in our lives, but we are there for each other no matter what. We talk each other through life, we lift each other and we encourage each other! When one struggles, the other is strong and helps them through. I couldn't thank God for a better man in my life and even though we aren't "together" all the time, we are united. I have a lot to be thankful for. I was convicted by the thought of envy controlling my life. It often does, but today I step back and I look at what I have. Two wonderful children and a wonderful marriage. We are happy. We love God. We may struggle with what life throws at us, but we hold together to pull through. God fulfills our every need and gives us the strength for each day. All other things are not important because God has seen to it that I have what I need for today. Life may not be perfect, but hey, who's life is? =) I hope you aren't raising your hand... we all know better! :-) God does provide though and I don't have to envy for anything... now tomorrow... I might struggle! =)

Cute moments... Well, todays cute moments consisted of watching Abby and Joey play in Abby's rooms. Abby emptied her entire toy box today hold one item up at a time asking "Safe, fer bubby" Then after I answered yes... she's hand it to him with a smile... THEN THE BEST OF ALL... Jeff always hated when I came home from the daycare before our two bundles arrived singing the little kids songs... especially the five little monkeys... I get a call from Jeff tonight who is out getting McDonalds because mommy's head hurt to bad to look at the kitchen... and he confesses... HE HAD TO SING FIVE LITTLE MONKEYS REQUESTED BY ABBY!!! Did he do it mommy's way? Nope! He sure didn't, but it made her giggle. He couldn't remember the tune and well, he confessed... it sounded like a rap song! Ha! Too funny! I knew that his day would come when he would be humbled to my level! =) Good job skeeter! You made daddy sing!!!!

Showers of bubbles...

Well, it's been a snowy day! The kids and I didn't make it to church today. Joey decided to not go to bed until 3 a.m. last night! Made for an interesting morning since he also decided to get back up at 7:15 a.m. Abby got up this morning to find bubby and I sleeping in the recliner. She decided to join us by saying "Seep wiff bub". =) That was entertaining! Let me tell you what! The kids had a good day today. Abby is potty training and well, her favorite line is "I make a tatoe!" That's her way of saying she poopied in the potty! Of course today, she asked to call Mamaw, then papaw, then aunt Kisti so she could proudly announce that she had made a tatoe! Bubby, well, he's just been silly today. He has started putting his nose right up to yours and then flicking his eye brows. It always gets a good chuckle out of me, so I think that is why he likes it so much. He certainly loves to make you chuckle! Jeff was excited, he taught his first 401 class at the church today. I sometimes wish that I could be there to share in all of these things, but I know that God has every thing in His hands and apparently this is what he intends for now. When he got home, we bundled up and went for dinner at AppleBee's. We had wonderful gift cards. =) Abby decided to wave at every person coming in the door which became a very good show. I can't wait to see what God has in store for her life because her little spirit just draws people to her! It is truly amazing to me... then we learned that bubby is a sports guy. He got so excited every time something came on the TV above our table that had to do with sports. That means mommy is in trouble! Well, in a nut shell, that was our day... dirty diapers, dirty dishes... etc etc... oh how could I forget to mention! WE had a good visit from "Kisti" as Abby so proudly pronounces her name. =) Makes a day complete!!!

Fiasco...

Ever wondered what a fiasco really was? Take a look into the Pfohl house hold tonight... we arrived home from taking angel food orders at the church oh, I'd say around 7:30 p.m. I quickly warmed up some left overs all the while trying to make bread sticks with Abby yelling "I do it, I bite it, I make it for you!" (don't forget, she's two and absolutely means business!) I finally get the bread sticks in the oven and Abby begins to wave her sippy cup in my face yelling "milk milk!" Joey is pleasantly rolling around on the floor chewing on his O2 chord and wrapping himself into any trouble that he can find. Then comes eating, we all sit down together, Joey is spitting food all over the tray, Abby is trying hard to eat off of every one Else's plate but her own, and daddy & I, well, we are trying to get in a few bites before the next break down! Then we move on to the breathing treatments, next comes the pill crushing and getting bubby to SWALLOW them! Finally, it's bed time! We all meet in Abby's room to pray together as we do every evening. I look up to Abby & Joey making faces and giggling during daddy's prayer! Good night sister! Oh, you'd think it was all over, but nope! Not there yet! Abby finally decides to wave her teddy every where and then her blanket and look at me and say "Covers, I need 'em!" Meanwhile, bubby is finally out in the living room. Abby passes out for me in her bed and I go to help Jeff move bubby into the bed with his O2 and monitor... and what do you know... HE WAKES UP!!! Our hope of going to bed by ten was now hopelessly over! It's exactly 12:15 a.m. and the boy is still awake. Poor daddy is trying so hard to stay awake as Joey won't let any one else put him to bed... spoiled??? Maybe a tad. ;) Well, sweet dreams!

We have arrived!!!!

Well, it is a new day! The pfohl family has a blog spot. Many of you are probably wondering what our title is about... OK, well, any of you who do not think on Jeff's level would certainly wonder! =) The title we chose is the fantastic pfohls after the famous fantastic four that Jeff loves so well... I believe Jeff would be "Mr. Fantastic", then me (of course mindy) would be "Invisible woman" Abby, very fitting... "The human torch" and Joey, "The thing" Jeff said this was fitting because he's a blob of a little butter ball right now! SO, there you have it! The fantastic Pfohls!!! I am simply surprised I lowered myself, but I did enjoy hearing the Joy in Jeff's voice when he said this name!! So, that's how our blog spot name came about! well, for now, welcome to our blog spot! We hope you will enjoy!
