We are 40 min. away from leaving! Mr. Joey has to be there at 1130 and his procedure begins at 1. Thanks for the prayers and support from every one! For those who may not know what is going on. Joey is have his tummy repaired from a tare where his gtube (abdominal feeding tube) once was. Also, they are doing a muscle and skin biopsy. Joey still has a lot of weakness and fatigue so they are looking for the case. Last, he's having an MRI/MRS of his brain. This will help them to know too what is some of the cause of the weakness. Also, it may tell them why movement is some times challenging for him. We are very anxious about it. part of us doesn't want to know but the other part does so we can help him in any way we can. I have had direct questions of "Is it Mitochondrial Disease?" Yes, that is one thing they are recnsidering. Since all this we have found out that Jeff has MS all over his Family... so we'll see. only God knows and He holds the upper hand of whatever the cause!
Thanks for all the prayers! they mean so much and honestly... we are living on a prayer right now. W e are exhausted and burned out! Thanks! ~Mindy

Scriptures to hold onto...
My mom typed these up for us... thanks mom! I will hold onto these every moment tomorrow!
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Ps. 56:3
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Ps. 27:1
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee. Isa. 43:2
my Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. Isaiah 12:2

wondrous reminder....
I'm really struggling right now... I have been for awhile. The fear of the unknown is so welling up inside of me. The fear of what is wrong with Joey, the fear of what is going on with Abby, the fear of what the future will hold for them each.... All of it is so heavy. I know I can sit here and say "In Jesus name they are OK." But it doesn't take the hurt away that is in my heart as a mommy watching her babies hurt and suffer. When we pull into the hospital, my three year old yells, "I scared! Go home!" That shouldn't be! Just visiting a friend... he said that as we pulled up to the door. It hurts my heart. Watching Abby fatigue and wake up with dark circles hurts... Watching Joey struggle to gain the coordination to play his games... the daily struggles of their little lives wears on me after awhile. I don't know how to cope and tonight, I snapped. I just started sobbing as I talked to Abby. She asked what was wrong. i told her the truth "Mommy hurts in side because I can't take away your hurts. That's hard for mommy's because they want to fix every thing." She climbs up in my lap, wipes my eyes and says "Mommy, it's OK. You don't have to. Jesus will do that!" That was my wondrous reminder for the day!
I post in tears...
I post this morning asking you to pray for a PRECIOUS family. They have battled a form of Mitocondrial diaseas with their sweet little girl Marie. Marie is now with Jesus. She went peacefully in her sleep sleeping with her daddy. Shan (mom) was expecting and she got to meet her new sister before Leaving to be with Jesus. My heart is just broken. This family has such amazing faith and are amazing people! I am at a loss what to even say except to plead with all of you to pray for them. I can't imagine loosing your child... I just can't. Please pray for them and pray for those who battle this terrible disease. I wish I had the power to take it away! I only have the power to pray though... God is more than able! Thanks every one. If you'd like to leave a message for the family or you would like to see their sweet angel's picture you can visit http://josieandme.blogspot.com/ Thanks all!

Cleaning day...

Well, I just don't get it!!!! I clean and then... it's time to clean again!!! I think I live with two small tornados and one tall hurricane!!!! :) I'm not kidding!!! I just don't know where the messes come from!!! Today, we are just trying to piece life back together. I don't know why but when you are gone for three days for medical reasons... it's hard to get things straight when you get back to life. I think fatigue plays a part but who really knows!
Jeff is working very hard on making me a window shelf for my herbs in the kitchen! It's looking beautiful! I can't wait until it is all done! I'll post a pic when he is done!!! :)
Well, back to the house! Have a great day every one!!

No place like home!!!!
You know, I am so so very glad to be home! There is just absolutely no place like home! I can remember when I was kid, much like my own.. I lived for those get away moments, sleeping at a motel, going some place new... I have to confess... I still live for those moments... HOWEVER I am learning truly that there is absolutely no place like home! Even with the house work and laundry and getting ready for another round at the hospital... I am THRILLED to get to be home! Well back to it peeps!

Checking out...
The kids slept good last night on their little hida bed. They were cracking us up at some points through the night. We are getting ready to wrap up and go home. It's been an interesting stay. They have two forks, two spoons, three dinner plates... etc... etc... for a family of four... that makes it hard! We managed to get through though! Sister is doing pretty good this morning. She said things are getting stuck going down so my guess is that she is having some swelling. She's hurting pretty good this morning... that lul between the pain med allowance is hard on it!
Have a great day every one! We are headed home! do the laundry and repack to come back wednesday morning for Joey's surgery. I'm tellin' ya! Some one is trying to do me in! LOL!
